Secretary Special for Private Debt Management, Ministry of Finance
Fotis Kourmousis is the Secretary Special for Private Debt Management of the Ministry of Finance. He coordinates legislation enforcement aiming at reducing non-performing loans. Major projects include creation of out-of-court workout mechanism for corporate debts and development of mortgage subsidy scheme and primary residence protection.
He has worked as Special Advisor in international organizations, i.e. United Nations (UNEP FI, UNDP) and European Commission (EEA) and Ministries of the Hellenic Republic.
He is a Graduate in Environmental Management. Post-graduate studies in Strategic Leadership at Oxford University and Executive MBA at American College of Greece. PhD from National Technical University of Athens, where he is a permanent lecturer and researcher in the School of Chemical Engineering.
